Quick pickled red onions are a simple and fun way to add an acidic component to your recipes!

Ingredients

  • 1 red onion thinly sliced
  • ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed

Instructions

  • Peel red onion, slice in half. Using a sharp knife or mandolin, thinly slice into even slices.
  • Add all ingredients to a mason jar. Place lid on, and shake until salt and sugar have dissolved. Allow to sit for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Quick pickled red onions will last in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
